What I can tell you is that I read 115 books in 2021 (maybe get in 1 or 2 more by New Year's Eve). And I'll post my year-end review next week.
Some highlights...
Probably listened to 30 or so audio versions, which allows me to "drink book juice through your earholes" as Phil Williams posted recently in his year-end tally. Check out his list. Quite different than what I read, with very little overlap of authors and interest. But heh, that's what makes the world go 'round.
Another interesting observation was that I abandoned about 10 books this last year. Which I've hardly ever done, but in the past few years I've become more liberal in dropping the book if I just can't get into it. Freedom!
