Or addition. Which wasn't much. But I did come to the realization that if I'm to succeed at these challenge thingies then I'm going to have to start keeping track of how many words I write each day. I've been guestimating and haven't been doing a very good job at it.
So I finally tallied up my chapter totals and it hit me that I'm just now at 27,000 words for my thriller novel. My goal before the end of September was to write 25,000 words and finish the book (for a 50k total). But that ain't happening unless I can put in 10k plus words both tomorrow and Monday. Laugh out loud.
And here I thought I was making huge progress. And I have been, actually. I've introduced a completely new storyline (complimentary plot and subplots) featuring a franchise character (more on that later), thought through how I'm going to merge the two main POVs into one coherent whole, and have mapped out the rest of the story. I know, tentatively, where this is going. Or so I think at this point. (grin) The end is in sight!
Now to finish the dang thang so I can send it to the publisher. Wish me stamina.

Keep it clean and positive. (And sorry about the word verification, but the spmb*ts are out in full force!)
