Inspired by Dean Wesley Smith's daily fiction word tally and his goal of writing a complete novel the last 10 days of every month for a year, along with Rick Copple's decision to try it as well this month, I decided to tag along and record my progress on finishing a novel before October.
So I'm doing the 10 Day 1/2 Novel Challenge - 25,000 words between now and the end of September. That's only 2500 words a day, but I teach full time, so we'll see how it goes. Or, you'll see how it goes. I'll write how it goes.
I'll tell you more about the project in each of my end-of-the-day posts. But for now, suffice it to say it's a crime thriller featuring a PI who teams up with a homicide detective. Two storylines that converge just over halfway and I'm almost at that point in my writing. Will give you an update tomorrow night on my progress.

Keep it clean and positive. (And sorry about the word verification, but the spmb*ts are out in full force!)
