Nearing the end of this month's experiment to log my (almost) daily writing totals. (Premise: writers write - if I'm not writing, I'm not a writer.) Tonight's project, a cozy inspirational mystery I'm co-writing with a friend who's had at least 14 books published by Christian houses. This particular novel (or series of novellas) is a prequel to a beloved series of hers. Very excited about helping her self-publish this book next month!

Also wanted to give you an update about a submission I sent to a popular indie writer of thrillers. He's franchising one of his popular series and invited anyone (with the idea that new writers could 'break in' riding on his coattails, so to speak) to send him a short story using his characters. If it passed muster, he'd publish it (a la the James Patterson model) and split the sales. Win/Win.
Well, get this, I sent him a story and he liked it! We're moving forward. But since I haven't actually signed the agreement yet, I'm not quite ready to tell you all the details. Suffice it to say that I'm super excited. And I'll post the name of the story, series, and a link to where you can purchase the story as soon as it's available. Thanks for your interest!

Keep it clean and positive. (And sorry about the word verification, but the spmb*ts are out in full force!)
